Strawberry Jam

Oo-la-la, another OG recipe from Grandma Dora – STRAWBERRY JAM! There is nothing better on toast than Grandma Dora’s strawberry jam. The better the berries, the better the jam turns out.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 quart strawberries washed and hulled
  • 3 cups sugar

Method
 

  1. Sterilize canning jars.
  2. Boil strawberries and 1 cup sugar in rather large pan for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add 2 additional cups of sugar and stir 5 more minutes. May skim off foam.
  4. Pour into 8″ square cake pan or small bowl and cool, stirring occasionally.
  5. Pour into sterilized jars and seal with parafin. Put on lids. Keeps well in freezer..

Notes

Berry Sizes

If berries are large, cut or slice smaller if desired.
